We are delighted to offer pre-school places from Sept 2024. We welcome three and four year olds to join us, to have an amazing start to their primary education. We have a beautiful, enriching Early Years setting and offer a family feel in our small mixed age classes. Staff make the most of the secure outdoor learning spaces and help the children to explore the environment, via Forest schools activities.
Our caring, experienced EYFS and KS1 staff ensure that the Early Years framework is provided in a fun and vibrant way. Our Early Years lead works across our Forest Federation of Soudley, Steam Mills and Woodside Primary Schools, sharing and ensuring good practice for all.
Our school curriculum is based on ‘Communication, Knowledge about the World and The Forest’, as we believe that these three drivers are key to shaping children’s learning.
We want all children to SHINE, and have five simple school rules to help everyone feel safe, happy and valued. You will find these in the booklet below and we hope that the information is useful.
